BBC lies about my invitation onto The Big QuestionsSunday, 15 May 2011 17:46PROGRAMME CLIP AND EMAIL EXCHANGE BETWEEN ME AND BBC 1 FOR THE BIG QUESTIONS:
10th may 9:45am
Dear Anjem
Good to talk to you earlier and as we discussed, I've detailed below some more information about this Sunday's live special edition of The Big Questions: This year, the BBC has commissioned us to produce a number of special editions of the show – the idea being that instead of asking 3 topical questions for debate, we ask one big question and dedicate the entire hour long programme to the one subject matter, giving all guests a much greater opportunity to speak and develop their points. This Sunday, we're broadcasting an Islam special – and the big question we'll be asking will be 'Is it time for a British Islam?' – asking the question as to whether Muslims in Britain today should be defining themselves based on their British and Muslim identity, rather than a global Islamic perspective. We'll be looking at issues of integration, embracing liberal British values (derived from Cameron's Munich speech), and asking if British Muslims need to put their own house in order i.e. to come together to define a collective British Islam. I really hope you might consider taking part, and whilst I appreciate your request to be on the panel, unfortunately our panel has been booked in advance. As you know from appearing on The Big Questions before, the front row guests are the specially invited guests because of their relevance to the debate, and this is why we're hoping you would be happy to take part. And of course, as the entire hour long programme will be dedicated to this topic, you will have much more time to speak and to expand your points than you would do in a normal 20 minute debate. I really hope you might consider taking part and it would be great to hear your thoughts on the topic. I obviously brief Nicky Campbell on all the guests and opinions, and I'm sure he'll be hoping to hear your views on this debate. I can be contacted on my mobile 07702 094777, look forward to hearing from you. Kind Regards Neil

Dear Neil
Please let me know who is on the panel so that I can make an informed decision. Anjem
10th May 12:05pm
Dear Anjem
The guests we've booked for the panel are Salma Yaqoob, Dr Taj Hargey, Maajid Nawaz and Dame Ann Leslie. These special editions of The Big Questions are all about high profile names. Not only on the panel but on the front row as well. We are also booking less front row guests, in order to ensure that everyone makes a large contribution throughout the hour. As mentioned we have the panel booked in advance, so far on the front row we have Tariq Ramadan, and hopefully yourself. I am more than happy to keep you up to date as and when we confirm further front row guests. We would like to get as many names as possible confirmed today. I appreciate your time. Neil

Dear Neil
I dont believe Salma yaqoob, Taj Hargey or Maajid Nawaz are Muslims. This is the problem that I face. To be brought onto a programme where the those represented as the main proponents of Islam are not even Muslim. 1. Salma Yaqoob has negated her Islam by wanting to legislate in parliament whereas Muslims must believe Allah is the only legislator, 2. Taj Hargey by rejecting things known by necessity in Islam like the Hijab and women not leading men in prayer, not to mention that he rejects the Sunnah (actions of the Prophet) and 3. Maajid Nawaz has negated his Islam by allying with non-Islamic regimes, such as the British to silence Muslim voices and also by denying that there is anything called shari'ah to be implemented within society I can suggest someone else if you wish, otherwise thanks for the invitation but I dont see the point of sitting and making up an audience where the main people are apostates from Islam such as these three. You are welcome to review your decision not to have me on the panel, at least one Muslim, but I can fully understand why the BBC would want to promote the above three instead. AnjemNB. Tariq Ramadan has also stated some outrageous things such as suspending or reforming the Islamic penal code and I have serious doubts about him being a Muslim as well!

Neil
In fact keep me up to date about the other guests in the front row. Maybe I can be convinced depending on who it is, or alternatively perhaps I can bring one or two poeple with me to sit in the front row to balance things out? Anjem
10th May 2:04pm
Anjem,
So far today there has been no change on people confirmed for the front row, we should hopefully have more information by the end of today, which i can confirm for you tomorrow. As this is a special show we have a smaller front row, and we want the most high profile people on the front row. As such we would like you to be on this front row as we feel it is important to get the viewpoint of what a true muslim is and the believes and behaviours they should adhere to. As per your request we would be more than happy for you to bring 2 friends to be in the audience, not on the front row, but there would still be a possibility of them contributing from the audience. We would like to get a very in depth debate going in the studio and would see you as an integral part of this and you would obviously be able to contribute throughout the hour. I hope this compromise is something towards which you feel favourable. Kind Regards Neil

Yes this is beginning to sound a bit better. I have provisionally confirmed the following two guests. Can I suggest that you seat my companions close to the front, since they are quite prominent in their own right: 1. Abu Izzadeen (aka Mr Omar Brooks) - contact number ***** *** *** *********@hotmail.com (famous for heckling John Reid among other things and a very active Islamic speaker) 2. Saiful Islam (aka Mr Ishtiaq Alamgir) - contact number ***** *** *** *******¬-*******@hotmail.com (famous for leading the Luton demo against the anglian regiment which set in motion the formation of the EDL) Anjem

Anjem,
Yes that all sounds fine. Will you all be travelling together? I will call you tomorrow to confirm everything, after which i will get in touch with your 2 friends if you'd like me to. Thanks for getting back to me. Neil
10th may 6:10pm
Dear Neil
Yes we will come together. It might be an idea to contact them to let them know of the format etc... Anjem
10th may 6:13pm
Ok Anjem, I will contact them tomorrow and go through the format with them and answer any other questions they may have. We have 2 meetings tomorrow one at 11am and the other at 2pm. I only need to attend 1 of the meetings. If i'm in the morning one i'll contact you all in the afternoon, and if i'm in the afternoon meeting i'll contact you all in the morning. Neil

Dear Neil
I have given the programme and the set up considerable thought and have decided that in the circumstances my participation is no longer possible. I feel strongly that those on the panel do not represent Islam, indeed are not even Muslim and in fact I should be the panel taking our own profile and activities in the UK into account and how many people we speak on behalf of in comparison to all the others on the show. Your compromise of allowing me two guests was reluctantly agreed to by me but it seems that you are willing to replace them with more non-Muslim guests but yet keep the panellists. The viewers will see clearly that there are no practising Muslims on your show and will accuse the BBC of yet again attempting to tarnish the pure understanding of Islam. You will not be able to speak about Islam in the UK and the impact on Muslims without to allude to the activities of the various bodies that I either lead or represent and it is therefore ultimately your own folly. I will not allow myself or those I represent to be ganged up on by others or put in a position where the falsehood cannot be properly countered. Anjem

Dear Anjem
Nicky Campbell has asked me to give you an idea of who we are approaching for the programme on Sunday. As we discussed, the issues we're addressing on the programme will be on citizenship, inclusion, integration, asking what problems Muslims face in Britain and what are the causes. Within the debate, we'll be asking if the British Government is to blame, and if the Muslim community should be doing more when it comes to condemning terrorism and extremism, and more to become integrated into society. Obviously, we'll have contributors who agree and disagree with all these issues – and to give you a few examples of people we're approaching for the front row – we have approached Haitham Al Haddad, Shaykh Haytham Tamim from Utruujj Foundation, a spokesman from MPAC, the MCB, Birmingham Central Mosque, Dr Phillip Lewis author of 'Young British and Muslim, Myriam Francois Cerrah from Oxford Islamic Society, Alyas Karmani from Street. The exact final front row will not be decided until tomorrow as we talk to quite a number of people before deciding how best to balance the debate, to ensure all viewpoints are given the opportunity to be put forward. I am happy to discuss further if you would like. Neil
12th May 5:37pm
Hi Anjem,
Did you get my previous email? I hope all is satisfactory after talking to Nicky. We are starting to finalise details now and would like to know the name of the person you wanted to be in the studio with you. Neil
12th May 7:13pm
Neil
Looking at the line up I am afraid I must insist on two guests with me at the minimum to balance the debate, with them near me at the front or alternatively me on the panel and one in the audience should be fine. The names are Abu Izzadeen and Saiful Islaam, as I emailed you before. I am sure that if you are able to squeeze one extra guest onto the show you can squeeze another one in as well (as you in fact originally promised me). My reasons remain the same. Anjem
12th May 7:22pm
Dear Anjem
The BBC Head of Religion has given special dispensation, for 1 other, who is neither of the gentlemen you mentioned, to accompany you to the programme. These are the only circumstances in which we will be able to have you participate in the programme and make the points that you want to make. I do hope you may consider this, especially as you feel so strongly that you represent a viewpoint missing from the programme. Neil
12th May 7:30pm
Neil
It seems that the head of the BBC has a truth phobia and a personal dislike for us. I am not going to be dictated to as to which of the people with me can best represent the Islamic position, especially after all our negotiating. Some people would rather just not see our faces at all it seems, which makes me curious as to why I am being invited at all? Anyway, needless to say we will not be taking part. Anjem

Just a passing thought, maybe you could also invite Salman Rushdie, Hirsi Ali and while you're at it why not Geeart Wilders. That should be just about all the enemies of Islam and Muslims under one roof! Anjemps. I forgot to mention Aaqil Ahmed

it is said ila is mabood (to worship) the shahada is la ilaha ila Allah. tawheed al uluhiya (uluhiya comes from ila(single god) and aaliha(plural gods) is also known as tawheed al ubudiya (ubudiya comes from ibada which is worship) which is worshiping Allah alone without ascribing any partners to Him. so when you are saying la ilaha ila Allah, what you are really saying is that there is nothing to be worshiped obeyed or followed except Allah. and how do we worship Allah we submit to his will by doing what He expects from us and keeping away from what he tells us to keep away from. this is the sharia. the sharia is found in the Quran, the sunnah, the consesus of the companions and the analogy of the scholars. Learn your deen before you embaris yourself, this is to the one who made the comment below.
"They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah refuses except to perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it. It is He Who hath sent His Messenger with guidance and the Religion of Truth, to proclaim it over all religion, even though the Pagans may detest (it)." (Qur'an 9:32-33)
"O you who have believed, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life." (Qur'an 8:24)
wallahi shaikh you have proven that a kafir will lie anytime to pass on his idea
